Submission Guidelines

Update: Due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, our offices are closed for the foreseeable future, and we are no longer accepting physical manuscript submissions. Please do not send original material, as it will not be returned to you. 

Counterpoint is currently closed to unsolicited submissions. Manuscripts may be submitted only through a recognized literary agency. 

Counterpoint publishes literary fiction and nonfiction, including history, memoir, literary biography, religion and philosophy, and natural history. We urge you to browse our website to discover the range of our interests. Counterpoint does not publish genre fiction (romance and science fiction), art books, cookbooks, how-to books or manuals, YA, or children’s books. We regret we cannot accept submissions of poetry manuscripts at this time.
